The Man
Abdul is an internationally published Photographer. His works and a interview has been published in the reputed “Malvie – the French Fashion and Beauty Magazine”, as well as multiple times on the US based international magazine “Dreamy”, and also on Australian magazine “Modellic”.
Abdul thrives on constantly learning and improving his skills, and has got a Cert 3 in Visual Arts, and attended various other Events, Workshops and 1-1 lessons from leaders to work on specific skill more hand-on. He Keeps abreast of latest improvements on Editing software (Adobe) by attending their mega 3-day launch program (Adobe Max) every year.
Coming from a humble, middle-class family, Abdul always focusses on catering for the middle class for whatever shoot packages he creates, and stays modest and rooted to ground, despite his quick success.
The Gear
Nikon Z7 – the 45 MP Mirrorless Full Frame beast, is his primary weapon in all shoots, well complimented by the Holy grail NIKKOR Z 24-70 f4 lens – the most preferred focal length for event photography.
He also uses a second camera (Nikon Z6), with the Nifty-fifty Nikon 50mm f1.8 for perfect portrait shots.
He carries in his bag a whole range of lenses to suit any needs, such as:
* 35mm f1.8
* 50mm f1.8
* 18-35mm f2.8
* 24-70mm f2.8
* 70-200mm f2.8
Not to forget, flashes, flash mods, spare batteries, tripod, and other nitty gritty.
He also has a mini home studio setup with backdrops and appropriate lighting gear for simple solo portraits or family shots.
Modus Operandi
Abdul focusses on not just capturing those special occasion moments, but also the moments people overlook. The hearty laughs, the elders sharing their wisdom, or grandparents enjoying with the kids, the decorations, and the overall vibe of the event.
Abdul also prides himself in being able to mingle with the kids, and make them comfortable, and get them to pose or not be camera shy. You will notice him waving hands at kids, smiling, talking, appreciating, playing and creating a comfortable environment for them to be natural and happy facing the camera.
He is not someone who stands and waits for photo requests. You will see him keep walking around looking for opportunities for candid, keeping his eyes and ears wide open to see or hear any laughing, to quickly grab that vibe, and any other special or interesting moments.
At the core of it all, Abdul tries to be part of the group of people and occasion and do what a close friend/family member would have done.
